School District of Rhinelander residents will vote on renewing the operational referendum on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If approved, the referendum would allow the district to exceed the revenue limit by $4 million per year for the next four years. This represents a reduction of $1 million from the previous referendum amount, according to the press release.
"There would be no anticipated property tax change if the November 8 referendum is approved," the release states. "The tax rate has decreased from $10.86 per $1,000 of assessed property value, to the current rate of $9.97 per $1,000, over the past four years. We anticipate the rate to change very little or possibly decrease in the next four years."
