On Saturday, Dec.10, the Northwoods School of Dance, along with the non-profit Dance Northwoods group, will perform their interpretation of "The Nutcracker" in the John and Dori Brown Performing Arts Center at Rhinelander High School. The two shows are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
"The dancers have been rehearsing and are excited to revisit this classic Christmas story," according to artistic director Karen Cook. "In addition to 'The Nutcracker', Jazz, Tap, Lyrical and Hip/Hop dancers aged 3-22 will open the show with holiday favorites."
Taylor Pitlik, Miriah Mannikko, Tanya Taylor, along with Cook and assistant director Jessie Phelps, have been choreographing pieces for these two shows.
Tickets will be sold at the door prior to each show.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children, bring a student friend and 2 for $5. Children age 3 and under are free.
