10/29/2019 6:18:00 PM 65-year-old man struck and killed in Schoepke accident
A 65-year-old man is dead following a traffic accident Tuesday morning in the town of Schoepke.
According to a press release issued by Oneida County sheriff's captain Tyler Young, the sheriff's office received a 9-1-1 call at approximately 7:30 a.m. reporting a vehicle crash on County Highway B near Meister Stockley Road.
The driver stated that she went off the road and hit a tree, sustaining head and foot injuries. A second 9-1-1 call was received stating that the car had also struck a male subject.
The male subject, identified as Larry D. Badgley, 65, passed away due to injuries sustained from the impact, the release states.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as a 16-year-old female from Summit Lake and the vehicle involved was a 2010 Subaru Impreza. The operator was transported to the hospital by ambulance following the accident. The sheriff's office was assisted on scene by Fire District Alpha, Monico Fire Department, Oneida County Ambulance, and the medical examiner's office. The Wisconsin State Patrol will be completing an accident reconstruction, and the sheriff's office will completing an accident report.
