1/7/2020 7:30:00 AM WIS 47 public involvement meeting to be conducted by DOT Jan. 15
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will conduct a public involvement meeting later this month to discuss proposed improvements to State Highway 47, from Kildeer Road in Oneida County to the Vilas County line.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Woodruff Town Hall. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format, according to a DOT press release.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the purpose and need for the project and to obtain feedback on proposed improvements, the release states.
Proposed improvements include removal and replacement of asphalt, beam guard replacement, culvert replacements, and installation of centerline rumble strips. Improvements also include replacement of curb and gutter and curb ramps in Lake Tomahawk and Woodruff.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin in spring 2022.
Adjacent property and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting.
