Three arrested in Eagle River meth raid

Jamie Taylor
River News Reporter

The Eagle River Police Department, with assistance from the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG) and the state Department of Justice Clandestine Lab Unit executed a search warrant at 916 E. Pine Street at approximately 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.

According to a press release from the Eagle River Police Department, three individuals at that location were arrested for involvement in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

An earlier press release announced "an ongoing incident" at that address and requested that people avoid that area until further notice.

"There is no public safety concern for people in the area," the release said.

Precautions were taken to mitigate the volatility of the chemicals on the site that are used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

According to the second press release from ERPD detective sergeant Anthony Justice, the investigation is ongoing.
