OCHD announces 18th and 19th confirmed cases of COVID-19
By River News Staff

The Oneida County Health Department has announced the county's 18th and 19th confirmed cases of COVID-19.

According to a pair of health department press release issued late last week, the 18th infected individual is in their 20s and the 19th is in their 70s. The individual in their 20s has a history of travel outside of the community while the person in their 70s does not have a travel history outside this area, the releases state.

Both individuals are self-isolated and no significant risks of exposure to the general public related to either of them have been identified, health officials say.

The health department also reported Friday that moving forward, it will no longer be issuing individual press releases for all new positive cases of COVID-19.

Case count information can be found on the COVID-19 Data webpage located at https://oneida-county-covid-19-update-ochdwi.hub.arcgis.com/ and on Facebook at facebook.com/OneidaCountyHealthDepartment/.

The health department continues to encourage everyone to stay home as much as possible, practice physical distancing, good hand hygiene, enhanced cleaning practices, and utilize cloth face coverings when physical distancing is difficult to do.
