Investigators from the Wisconsin State Patrol and Oneida County Sheriff’s Department survey the damage that resulted from a two-car accident on Highway 8 near Shady Rest Road Thursday morning. A Rhinelander man died from injuries sustained in the accident, and two others were transported to area hospitals.

A Rhinelander man was killed, and two other people were injured, in a two-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in the town of Woodboro.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call was received at 7:38 a.m. Thursday reporting a crash involving two vehicles on Highway 8 near the intersection of Shady Rest Road in the town of Woodboro.
The driver of the first vehicle, Rory R. Timreck, 39, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the second vehicle, Bridget B. Dahms, 30, of Lake Tomahawk, and her minor child, were injured.
Dahms was transported to Ministry St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander. Her child was transported to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
No information was released regarding their injuries.
The highway was closed for at least three hours after the accident.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office and the Oneida County Medical's Examiner Office, with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol, are continuing their investigation into the accident.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, town of Woodboro First Responders, town of Crescent Fire Department, city of Rhinelander Fire Department and Lincoln and Oneida County EMS.
