Rhinelander Auto Center pledges $100K for dome project
The Rhinelander community continues to rally around the School District of Rhinelander's Hodag Sports Complex project. One week after Peoples State Bank announced a $100,000 donation to the project another local business, Rhinelander Auto Center (Rhinelander GM and Toyota), announced its own $100,000 donation toward the construction of an air-supported dome and related facilities. Kingman files federal lawsuit against city, mayor, four aldermen
Former Rhinelander public works director Tim Kingman filed a lawsuit this week in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin alleging his employment with Rhinelander was "wrongfully terminated" and he was "wrongfully retaliated against" after he spoke out about alleged workplace "harassment, intimidation, stifling of speech" and filed an age discrimination complaint with the State of Wisconsin Equal Rights Division.

Council takes no action related to City Hall investigation
The fallout from the execution of two search warrants at Rhinelander City Hall Nov. 21 continues but city administrator Daniel R. Members of the School District of Rhinelander administration, the district's capital projects ad hoc committee and the design team from Rettler Corporation, the firm designing and managing the massive construction project, spent more than two hours Tuesday morning reviewing the site plan and delving deep into the details.
