The Spring-R-Roo gymnastics program competed in the Hub City Shooting Star Invite in Marshfield on Jan. 20. The Copper Country/Northwoods team took first place in Level 2 with an overall score of 110.5.

Mitch Mode, owner of Mel's Trading Post, participated in the 55K Birkebeiner Classic. He completed the jaunt from Cable to Hayward in time of 4 hours, 24 minutes and 41.6 seconds; came in 17th in his age group, 425 in his gender group, and 500 overall.(subscriber access)
