Rhinelander swimmers rule home relays
The Rhinelander High School girls' swim team showed Saturday it is much more than just a handful of strong swimmers. Rhinelander won four events, placed second in four others and won the Hodag Relays at the Heck Family Community Pool.

Four weeks into the season, the Rhinelander High School football team has already proved 68 percent of you wrong. The Hodags are 4-0, off to their best start since 1974, and made another statement about their legitimacy Friday night with a 31-13 victory over previously unbeaten Wausau East.

Jacob Ostrander deflected in the go-ahead goal in the 87th minute and the Hodags had to withstand a mad Lakeland scramble in the final seconds to knock off the Thunderbirds 2-1 at Mike Webster Stadium.
