Each month, the Alzheimer's Association offers family education programs across Wisconsin. These classes are designed to assist anyone with questions about Alzheimer's disease or related dementias.
All programs are free and open to families, caregivers and the general community.
Each program is presented by an Alzheimer's Association staff member or trained community volunteer. The Association's family education programs have earned evidence-based citations demonstrating the benefits of patient education and outcomes through programming.

Caregiver Stress: Take Care of Yourself
Caregivers will gain a better understanding of the disease, the changes and how these may affect their caregiving journey. Learn what stress is, how to identify stress and initiate an action plan to ease caregiving stress.
Tuesday, Dec. 19: 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Oneida Senior Center, 100 Keenan Street, Rhinelander.
Thursday, Dec. 21: 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Vilas County Courthouse - Commission on Aging, 330 Court Street, Eagle River.
The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease
This program explores the difference between normal age-related memory changes and more serious memory problems that may require medical attention.
Thursday, Dec. 14: 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Lac du Flambeau Wellness Center, 129 Old Abe Road, Lac du Flambeau.
Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body: Tips from the Latest Research
Learn the latest research on diet, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement and how to incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. Thursday, Dec. 14: 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Minocqua Public Library, 415 Menominee Street, Minocqua.
