3/13/2018 7:27:00 AM Demmer Library to offer computer class
The Demmer Library will have a computer class entitled, "Beyond the Basics" at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13. This class will be held in the lower level of the Demmer Library and is free to the public.
"Computer aptitude is limited for many people, with only basic usage being achieved," the library stated in a press release announcing the event. "Beyond using email and reading the news or looking at recipes, many users do not know what else they can do. This class offers tutorials and overview of assorted computer tasks for users with limited computer knowledge, but a desire to know more."
Librarian Andrew Johnson said, "I speak with many people each day in the library who are limited in what they use computers for, but wish that was not the case. From bookmarking a favorite website to saving photos from a camera or phone, there are many simple-to-use features every computer offers for every user to understand."
The library stated the class only assumes student know enough about using computers to successfully navigate through email and basic web browsing, and that students are encouraged to bring any and every question they have about computers, but were too afraid to ask.
Those who cannot attend this class, but still have computer questions, may stop by the library or call to schedule an individual appointment any day of the week.
