5/9/2019 7:29:00 AM Three Lakes Memorial Day observance to be held May 27
Memorial Day will be observed in Three Lakes on Monday, May 27, beginning at 10 a.m., with the traditional procession on foot from the Three Lakes Winery down Superior Street to the Three Lakes Cemetery. The ceremony will start at approximately 10:15 a.m., organizers said in a press release. Post Commander Mike Silber will serve as master of ceremonies, with music by the Three Lakes High School Band. Speakers will be Captain Terry McCloskey, U.S. Navy Retired, and three Three Lakes High School students, Kathryn Fath, Hadley Miles, and Samuel Welhoefer. The names of Three Lakes military killed in action will be read, followed by "Taps", three volleys by the Legion Firing Squad, and raising the cemetery flag to full staff.
In case of adverse weather, the program will be held in the Three Lakes School Auditorium beginning at 10 a.m.
