5/11/2019 7:30:00 AM Local history discussion scheduled
for May 25
There will be another opportunity to share and learn more about Rhinelander's past on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or later) at the VFW Ray Rousseau Post 3143, located at 120 Park Street in Rhinelander.
"Coffee and donuts will be provided, so bring your questions, information to share, or just your interest in local history," organizers said in a press release. "The discussion will be both of the Rhinelander area history and also of the VFW Post 3143 history and soldiers who served in Mexico in 1915, Company L (1917-19) and Company B (World War 11). Please bring your photos, newspaper articles, notebooks and whatever information you have to share. Younger people are encouraged to come to learn more of our history. One day you will be the 'older generation' and it will be up to you to help keep this history alive."
This free event is being hosted by the VFW. For more information, call Ralph Larson at 715-369-1451.
