5/16/2019 7:27:00 AM Library announces baking contest inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing
The Rhinelander District Library will kick off its 2019 Adult and YA Summer Reading Program, "A Universe of Stories," with a baking contest June 17.
"This year's theme honors the 50th anniversary of the moon landing," library officials said in a press release. "There are two categories - a Space Decorating Dessert category or the 'Tang, That's Good' baking category, in which you can bake any dessert, but it must include the ingredient, 'Tang.' Starting June 3, we'll have a limited supply of Tang, if you'd like to get some for your dessert."
The contest will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17 and the public is urged to come to the library, taste, and vote.
One winner from each category will receive a Trig's gift card.
Interested persons are asked to fill out an entry form at the library by June 14.
