6/4/2019 7:30:00 AM Tri-County Council announces community raffle
Tri-County Council-Lily's House is sponsoring a first-of-its-kind in Rhinelander community 50/50 cash raffle. It's called the Great Community Independence Raffle.
"Why the title? We have a great community in the Northwoods! Wouldn't everyone like to have some financial independence and a boost to those summer-fun finances and, at the same time, help a great cause in our community?" organizers asked in a press release. "Tri-County Council strives to assist victims of violence to work towards their own independence whether it's finding physical or emotional safety, or financial independence. From now until the Fourth of July anyone can purchase a $1 raffle ticket, or as many $1 tickets as they would like, and split the winnings 50/50 with Lily's House!"
Currently, there are close to 10,000 tickets in circulation in the Rhinelander area, the release states.
"Odds of winning are fantastic. And, if all tickets are sold, that's $5,000 to the winner. Many of our local businesses have joined us in this summer-fun adventure by selling the tickets in their establishments," the release states. "The complete list of ticket locations is on our Facebook page or tickets may be purchased at the Tri-County Council office. Call 715-362-6841, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for more information on how tickets may be purchased, either individually or in bulk."
The winning ticket will be drawn and announced at 7 p.m. July 4 at Hodag Park.
The winning ticket number will also be announced on Newswatch 12.
