Professor James Lattis of the University of Wisconsin- Madison will help interested Northwoods residents "see stars' June 17.
Professor Lattis will be at the Rhinelander District Library at 6 p.m. to talk about Wisconsin at the Frontiers of Astronomy: The History of Astronomy in Wisconsin, library officials announced in a press release.
At 8 p.m., the public is invited to head to Newbold Town Hall for "Eyes on the Skies: The Current Night Sky, What to Watch For, and How to Observe It," a discussion on constellations, planets, and other heavenly sights available with the naked eye, binoculars, and telescope. The evening will wrap up with an after sunset star sight-seeing party behind the Newbold Town Hall.
