Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) Conservation Easement donors Scott and Ann Eshelman will host a demonstration on wild ricing from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.
The meeting will take place at the Apperson Drive boat launch in Rhinelander.
"The 2016 conservation easement on the property includes nearly one mile of upland shoreland frontage on the Rhinelander Flowage, and most of the 'Munninghoff Marsh' wetland," NWLT outreach coordinator Troy Walters said in a press release.
Participants will harvest wild rice, which will then be processed to be donated to the Rhinelander Food Pantry. Ricing sticks and push poles will be provided. Participants will need to provide their own canoe, PFD's, water, raingear, water shoes.
