8/13/2019 7:30:00 AM Reason to Hope presentation Aug. 15
The public is invited to join the Alzheimer's Association for a Reason To Hope, a hope-filled and inspiring presentation for caregivers, from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 15 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arbor Vitae.
The presentation will be led by Rev. Mary Raysa, and will focus on adopting an attitude of affirmation and acceptance, and reducing conflict and stress, organizers said in a press release. Attendees will learn how their loved ones can make a positive difference in their lives and how they, in turn, can make a positive difference in their loved ones lives. The focus is on hope for healing and transformation.
"Rev. Mary Raysa has worked extensively with seniors in offering pastoral care to homebound individuals and those living with dementia in care facilities," the release states. "She is a woman of faith who believes that Healing Moments offers new opportunities for people living with dementia and their loved ones by bringing hope and God's eternal gifts of grace and love into one another's lives."
This event is sponsored by the Lakeland Memory Café, Generations (Lakeland Senior Center) and Peace Lutheran Church.
