Fall Community Fair set for Oct. 15

The Northern Advantage Job Center and Grow North Regional Economic Development will host the first annual Fall Community Fair Oct. 15 to help bring awareness to the services and employment opportunities available in the Northwoods.

"This hiring event will feature employers offering flexible job opportunities such as work from home positions and weekend incentive programs, community outreach resources, and fun activities for the whole family," organizers said in a press release. "At the Fall Community Fair, kids can take home balloon animals, get their faces painted, listen to live music, and play with games donated from Children's Museum. Building a career and raising a family is difficult, but as a community, we can help one another. The Northern Advantage Job Center wants our citizens to know we are here for everyone and we have so much to offer."

"Grow North Regional Economic Development is proud to sponsor the Job Center's Fall Community Fair. We know working families are important to our communities, and the Northwoods has many flexible, family friendly employment opportunities. We understand that bridging the skills divide is part of the issue, and this event will highlight how our community has the resources and cares enough to get individuals from one place in their career to the next to better themselves, their families, and our communities," Grow North Executive Director Brittany Beyer added.

The event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Northern Advantage Job Center, 51A North Brown Street, Rhinelander.

It is free to the public. To learn more about the event, call 715-365-2697.
