10/15/2019 7:30:00 AM Three Lakes Drama Club announces fall production
The Three Lakes High School Drama Club will bring its fall production, "Oz," a short play by Don Zolidis, to the stage later this month.
"Reeling from her sister's death, Beth suddenly finds herself journeying through a world suspiciously resembling the film 'The Wizard of Oz,'" according to a club press release. "However, with the yellow brick road having been sold to foreign investors after a financial meltdown, the Scarecrow reveling in his ignorant bliss, the Cowardly Lion acting like a paranoid sociopath, and the Tin Man embracing his emotional numbness, Beth wonders what role she plays in this classic story gone awry. A hilarious and heart-wrenching exploration of grief and perseverance on the road to acceptance."
Performances will be held at the Three Lakes High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26. A special matinee performance is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Tickets will be available at the door. Price $4 for adults, $2 for students. Those who bring a non-perishable item will get $1 off the ticket price.
A bake sale and a 50/50 raffle are also planned, the release states.
