Nicolet College Visit Day is Oct. 25

Nicolet will hold a College Visit Day on Friday, Oct. 25, for anyone interested in learning more about the college, its academic programs, and the careers students pursue after graduation.

The free event will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Lakeside Center, Nicolet officials said in a press release.

Individuals attending will be able to visit two academic program areas, learn about mapping a plan for college, the application process, and paying for college.

Prospective students planning on attending College Visit Day are asked to RSVP at or call the college at 715-365-4493, ext. 0 and indicate which two academic program breakout sessions they would like to attend.

Options include accounting, administrative professional, automotive technology, business management, cosmetology, culinary arts, criminal justice, early childhood education, electromechanical technology, emergency medical technician/fire education, health occupations, industrial mechanic, information technology, university transfer and welding.

"This is a great way for anyone thinking about attending Nicolet to get a feel for the college and to see if it is right for them," Nicolet Dean of Enrollment Erika Warning said.

She also noted the college now offers many programs in the highly-flexible Nicolet My Way format.

"Many students have jobs and families. Nicolet My Way allows students to fit college around those responsibilities," she said. "It allows students to attend college on their own terms as they set their own pace in progressing through programs."

Nicolet My Way features several different formats. These include a combination of flexible open labs and online classes and also academic programs that can be completed entirely online.

Nicolet currently offers more than 60 different college credentials. These range from short-term certificates that can be earned in one semester to two-year associate's degrees, which transfer to four-year campuses for students who have their eyes set on earning a bachelor's degree.

"We see many students start by earning a short-term certificate and then use that credential to get a job in their field of interest," Warning explained. "They also continue to take Nicolet classes, often on a part-time basis, to earn a more advance credential which paves the way for them to move up in their careers."

Along with being more affordable than many other colleges, Nicolet also offers a full range of scholarships, grants and other financial aid opportunities to help students pay for their educations, Warning explained.

She also noted 95% of Nicolet graduates responding to graduate follow-up surveys from 2013 to 2017 reported they were satisfied or very satisfied with their Nicolet education. Many academic programs also posted a 100% job placement rate in graduates' field of study.

For more information, visit or call the Nicolet College Welcome Center at 715-365-4493, ext. 0; 1-800-544-3039, ext. 4493: TTY 1-800-947-3529 or 711.

The campus is located one mile south of Rhinelander just off of Highway G.
