10/19/2019 7:30:00 AM Catena Three Lakes plans virtual walk through local cemetery
The last Catena Three Lakes event of the 2019 fall series will be held Oct. 30 at the Three Lakes Center for the Arts. To tie in with Halloween, the Three Lakes Genealogical Society will host Catena with "Beyond the Graves," organizers said in a press release.
"Members will take the audience on a virtual walk through the Three Lakes Cemetery and elaborate on some of the unique headstones," the release states. "The mission of Catena Three Lakes is to connect the people of Three Lakes through a series of stories about the past, present, and future of the community, while providing opportunities for engaging conversation."
The event begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., including hors d'oeuvres sponsored by a local establishment. The first presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by a question-and-answer session. A second speaker presents at 7 p.m. Events are recorded and available on YouTube by searching for Catena Three Lakes. The series is presented in coordination with the Demmer Library, the Three Lakes Chamber of Commerce, the Three Lakes Center for the Arts, and other community sponsors.
