ArtStart's annual holiday market returns
ArtStart will host its annual Holiday Market from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.
Mirroring the traditional open-air markets of northern Europe, shoppers can enjoy grilled award-winning brats donated by Trig's along with sides donated by Rhinelander Café & Pub, German pretzels from CT's Deli, live music by the Hymns and Hers on Friday and Nate Sheppard on Saturday, delectable baked goods to savor on-site or to take home donated by the GFWC Rhinelander Woman's Club, premium coffee, spiced cider, and mulled wine, organizers said in a press release.
"As we enter the holiday, gift-giving season we wanted area artists to have a venue to showcase their work," said Rene Iannarelli, fiber artist and chair of the event. "ArtStart is a great site to host this market. We are between exhibitions, which allows us space for local artists to show their art and provide folks an opportunity to buy one-of-a-kind pieces for themselves or as gifts."
Available for purchase will be unique, hand crafted works including jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, watercolor art, and more.
Featured artists include Colleen Ansbaugh, Toni Bergeon, Jeanne Debbink, Kathy Furda, Amy Higgason, Robin Harrison, Bill Kingsbury, Lemon Dog Art, Karen Lenhart, Arnie Plaumann, Nancy Pierce and Joan White.
Everyone is welcome to visit the market and there is no admission fee, the release notes.
ArtStart is located at 68 S Stevens Street, Rhinelander.
Parking is available in the city lot behind McDonalds.
ArtStart is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization located in the historic Federal Building in downtown Rhinelander with a mission to strengthen the community through arts education and cultural engagement.
