11/9/2019 7:30:00 AM Tree of Love ceremony in Rhinelander Dec. 5
For 31 years, Ascension at Home has joined with the community to welcome the holidays with an evening of warm memories, fellowship and sharing at the beautiful Tree of Love ceremony. Thirteen years ago, their partner hospice program in Rhinelander began a similar tradition.
"These gatherings are a way to recognize the pain that exists in the hearts of many after a death, and to celebrate the memories that last," organizers said in a press release. "The trees will remain lit throughout the holidays, as a reminder that those who have lived have left a lasting impression. Everyone is invited to both of these very special events."
In Rhinelander, the 13th annual Tree of Love ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at ArtStart, 68 S. Stevens Street. The public is invited to this special remembrance celebration to recognize the pain of loss and begin the holiday season with hearts full of love and memories.
For a $10 donation a special memorial tag will be placed on the tree. All memorials received by Nov. 21 will be read at the remembrance celebration.
For more information, call Mary Ellen Kaminski at 800-643-4663. No registration is required to attend either of these free ceremonies.
