The VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Rhinelander is seeking volunteers to assist patients with kiosk check-in, escort patients to exam rooms and support office tasks.
"Volunteers are such a critical part of the continuum of care in the VA system," Katie Maxon, chief, voluntary service, said in a press release. "While they provide support and assistance to staff in their role, it's their connection and interactions with patients and guests that really augment the veteran experience."
Individuals interested in volunteering will have to commit to traveling to the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center for enrollment and orientation, but will work in the local CBOC once vetted.
To initiate the volunteer enrollment process, contact the Voluntary Service Office at 906-774-3300, x32780 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an application packet.
