11/27/2019 7:25:00 AM Woodland Strings of the North to perform holiday concert 'Ring Christmas Bells'
Woodland Strings of the North will present a holiday concert entitled "Ring Christmas Bells," in Land O' Lakes and Three Lakes the first weekend in December. The show will feature a mostly familiar but varied repertoire of Christmas pieces that will appeal to listeners of all ages, organizers said in a press release.
The group includes 12-plus string instrument players, a pianist, and a percussionist from the communities of Rhinelander, Three Lakes, Eagle River, Sugar Camp, Minocqua, and Land O' Lakes.
A flutist and guitarist will be guest artists for this show. The group is known for playing a variety of music genres such as classical, pop, jazz, fiddle, movie and show tunes.
The Land O'Lakes concert will be held in the Conserve School Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning at 1 p.m.
The cost for this event is free, with donations accepted for the Woodland Strings, and the Headwaters Food Pantry (paper products or personal care items.) The Three Lakes concert will take place at the Three Lakes Center for the Arts on Sunday, Dec. 8, beginning at 4 p.m. Concessions including wine and beer will be available for purchase.
