1/2/2020 7:25:00 AM Northwoods Land Trust to host snowshoe hike Jan. 26
Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) will host a snowshoeing event at the Tara Lila property Jan. 26 beginning at the Currie Shelter near the parking area on Section 9 Road. The hike is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon, organizers said in a press release.
NWLT staff will discuss what the land trust does and then head out for a 1.5-2 mile snowshoe hike on the Section 9 Road Unit.
"The diverse trails and habitats should provide beautiful scenery and a wide array of animal signs to observe," said Troy Walters, NWLT outreach coordinator.
Participants will need to provide their own snowshoes or let NWLT know far enough in advance that they need shoes, the release notes. This event is free and open to the public but participants must register by calling the Northwoods Land Trust office at 715-479-2490 or email: email@example.com by Jan. 23.
Tara Lila Section 9 Road Park Unit is located at 4650 Section 9 Rd, Eagle River. For more information, visit www.taralila.org.
