2/11/2020 7:30:00 AM Oneida County ADRC to host Valentine's Day fundraiser to benefit Australian wildlife
The Oneida County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) will host a Valentine's Day-Aussie Fundraiser Party from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
"Come share the love for animals in need of medical attention, food, water and rehabilitation due to the devastating fires and floods in Australia," organizers said in a press release. "Australian government officials report that a third of the koalas in New South Wales might be gone and that the nation's eucalyptus forest may be permanently damaged. The koalas feed on the eucalyptus. All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the brainchild of Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter), Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, Queensland, Australia. If you donate $5 or more, you will be able to take home a little Joey!"
The event will include opportunities to play Aussie Bingo, Kangaroo Bean Bag Toss, Aussie Trivia and more.
